Diario de Viaje: Frío y sopa picante

Salí de Buenos Aires escapando de los 38º de sensación térmica y aterricé en New York tiritando por los los 10º grados bajo cero. Mi última vez en Mahattan había sido para febrero de 2008. En aquella oportunidad llegamos junto a un equipo de América Noticias (Mónica Gutiérrez, Leo Flores y Román Lejtman) para asistir a la gala de premiación del New York Festival. Fueron cuatro días vertiginoso en donde apenas pudimos dar un vistazo de una ciudad apasionante.

Pero volvamos al frío. Nunca en mi vida había sentido esta sensación de que los huesos se van a pulverizar, ni siquiera cuando viajé a las Islas Malvinas, donde también soportamos temperaturas bajísimas.
Cuando el viento sopla fuerte los neoyorkinos suelen refugiarse en alguna cafetería o hacen un stop para tomar una rica sopa. Las más recomendables son las de Dean & Deluca, aunque un poco picante la que elegí (vegetal & chili) sirvió para calentarme el cuerpo y volver a sentir en las venas el calorcito de Buenos Aires. Aunque sea por un rato.
